Sharks are some of the most misunderstood creatures. They often get a reputation that doesn’t quite suit them, such as aggressive or mean or even scary. They instill fear because of the unknown. They are however, actually very intelligent and gentle animals. Sharks have beautiful personality traits and interesting and unique ways of doing things. They ultimately defy their reputation. They are magnificent. Our students carry this same magnificent quality. They are gentle, intelligent, unique and have the most outstanding way of teaching each of us how to view the world “outside the box” and “against the norms.” Often they are misunderstood, but at Lexington, we embrace what makes our students special and unique and embrace them for who they really are…and love them for exactly those traits they exhibit and carry that may be misunderstood or unique to just them.
